From 1904 to 1965, Feltham was an urban district in the former Middlesex county in England. This district served as the main civic body for the overlapping civil parish (which had an almost identical ecclesiastical parish) of Feltham. Prior to 1904, the area was part of the Staines Rural District, which was established in 1895, and its predecessor sanitary district. In 1930, the parent district was dissolved and two similar-sized parishes, East Bedfont (including its northern Hatton section, shaped like a tall hat) and Hanworth to the southwest, were added to Feltham.

Under the London Government Act 1963, Feltham U.D. was abolished in 1965 as Middlesex county was also disbanded, and the area became part of the southwest section of the new London Borough of Hounslow in Greater London.
