Grove Park is a neighbourhood located in the
southern part of Chiswick, a district in West London that falls under the jurisdiction of the borough of Hounslow. The area is situated within the meandering curves of the Thames, which is adjacent to Duke’s Meadows park. Historically, the region was part of one of the four historical villages in modern-day Chiswick, known as Little Sutton. The area remained largely undeveloped due to regular flooding of the low-lying land by the river Thames, which helped preserve orchards, open fields, and riverside marshland until the 1880s. With the arrival of the railway in 1849, development began to take place, and in 1867, the Grove Park Hotel was established, followed soon after by residential buildings.
